Workshops at the studio

A snow-covered backyard with potted plants, bushes, and trees, illuminated by outdoor lighting in the evening, with a clear sky and visible moon.

I’m Noni Edwards, an artist and designer behind My Thinking Sofa. I studied Fine Art Painting at Wimbledon College of Art and the Royal College of Art, and spent over a decade working in art education, teaching painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking and drawing.

Workshops at My Thinking Sofa are small, thoughtful sessions focused on making, learning and taking time with materials. They’re designed to be welcoming and unhurried, whether you’re trying something for the first time or returning to a process you already enjoy.

Sessions take place in a relaxed studio next to my home in Tilston village, near Malpas. There’s guidance throughout, with an emphasis on process rather than perfection. Materials are provided unless otherwise stated, and group sizes are kept small to allow space for individual support — and, of course, plenty of cuppas to keep things going.

A living room with a large window overlooking a backyard, cluttered with art supplies, a computer, a desk, a sofa, a small table, and a rug.
